Whatever you do, don’t leave Stockholm without eating this cake with the best name.
Swedes eat Fika, it’s the name for pastries like Kanelbulle. I like this tradition of eating Fika, not only to celebrate but just because you can. With my sweeth tooth I tried and tested loads. And this one is my favorite.
Princess cake! It is covered in green marzipan. Inside three layers of cake overlapped with vanilla cream and raspberry jam topped with whipped cream, all covered by a thin layer of emerald green marzipan, some powdered sugar, and a marzipan rose.
Approximately a half-million of the beloved pastry are sold annually, which makes it the best-selling cake in Sweden by a wide margin.
